France September Manufacturing PMI Final Reading: In Line with Expectations
Data compiler Markit, together with CDAF, released the final reading of France’s Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for September on September 1, 2025. The published value was 48.1, matching both the forecast and the previous reading of 48.1.The Manufacturing PMI primarily reflects companies’ assessments of current business conditions. Due to its timeliness and the leading nature of some of its components, the index serves as a reliable indicator for forecasting new orders and industrial production. As such, it is considered a highly influential economic indicator in the market.This release is assigned an importance level of 3. The data is compiled monthly based on surveys of manufacturing purchasing managers to gauge sector performance. The next release is scheduled for November 3, 2025.
