Mars Finance News: Paul S. Atkins, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, stated at the Investor Advisory Committee meeting that the agency will vote on proposals related to the tokenization of equity securities. The SEC is expected to consider an innovative exemption soon to facilitate limited trading of certain tokenized securities and is focused on developing a long-term regulatory framework. Paul S. Atkins also mentioned that the Cryptocurrency Working Group has held multiple roundtable discussions over the past 13 months, meeting with hundreds of market participants, soliciting broad public feedback, and receiving numerous written comments to understand how best to adjust rules to accommodate new types of trading, while still welcoming suggestions for potential innovative exemption schemes.
