After reviewing TSMC's latest financial report, an interesting question arises—this data actually serves as an excellent footnote to the historical demand for AI capacity.
Looking at it from a different perspective: if Elon Musk or Altman were to reassess the next 5 years and re-estimate the cost requirements for AI infrastructure, what numbers would they come up with? Still 17 trillion? Or 70 trillion?
This might mean that your imagination of the future is not bold enough.

Nap warning... As soon as TSMC's data came out, I woke up. It feels like all those previous estimates were too conservative.

Really, these big shots' estimates are probably doubling now, maybe even more.

Uh... I feel like the numbers they're reporting now are just guesses, and we'll have to double them later.

Damn, it feels like the current estimates are playing it safe, the real situation might be even crazier.

17 trillion is just the appetizer. By 2030, this number will have doubled, right? Otherwise, how will it be enough to feed these AI monsters?

Wait, can TSMC's data really directly infer AI infrastructure costs? The logic still seems a bit of a leap...

17 trillion still seems conservative; it feels like these people's estimates are constantly being proven wrong by reality.
