Data shows that the armed conflict in Sudan has caused over 20,000 deaths.

On August 23, Jinshi Data News reported that according to the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED), the armed conflicts in Sudan have resulted in more than 20,000 deaths. The report states that since the outbreak of armed conflicts in Sudan, the organization has recorded over 7,230 violent incidents between armed groups, with the state of Khartoum, where the capital Khartoum is located, and the Darfur region in the west being the most severely affected areas. From July 6th to August 16th this year, the conflicts in Khartoum state resulted in 260 deaths, and 396 deaths in North Darfur state.
