Iran is expected to delay its retaliation plans against Israel.

According to the New York Times on August 17, officials from the United States, Iran, and Israel said on Friday that Iran is expected to delay its plans to retaliate against Israel for the assassination of a senior Hamas leader in Tehran, in order to give mediators time to push for a ceasefire agreement to end the war in Gaza. However, they warned that the situation remains unstable.
