US CPI falls below expectations and returns to the '2-digit' range, falling for the fourth consecutive month

Odaily Planet Daily News According to unadjusted data, the US core CPI (Consumer Price Index) dropped to 3.2% YoY in July, the fourth consecutive month of decline and the lowest level since April 2021, in line with market expectations. The unadjusted CPI YoY in July was 2.9%, down for the fourth consecutive month and the first time since March 2021 that it has returned to the "2" level, with market expectations of 3% (Jin10).
