The 222nd Ethereum ACDE conference focused on discussing proposals related to the Glamsterdam upgrade.

PANews reported on October 10 that the minutes from the 222nd Ethereum execution layer core developers meeting (ACDE) summarized by Christine Kim indicate that regarding the Fusaka upgrade, developers have initiated a shadow fork of the Sepolia testnet in preparation for the Sepolia upgrade, which is still scheduled for October 14. The meeting focused on discussing the follow-up upgrade proposal codenamed Glamsterdam, which is the next major network upgrade following Fusaka. For Glamsterdam, developers have outlined three key changes: 1. Block-level access lists (EIP 7928), with its multi-client testnet expected to launch next week; 2. Gas pricing reform, including a storage tax mechanism (EIP 8032) aimed at curbing state growth through dynamic pricing; 3. New operation codes (EIP 7791) that support converting Gas directly into ETH. Additionally, the meeting clarified that the proposal deadline for Glamsterdam is set for one week after the date for the Fusaka mainnet is determined. The Holesky testnet is confirmed to be deprecated by the end of this month.
