Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha applied to the Constitutional Court for an extension to submit defense materials for the "audio recordings case."
On July 15, Thailand’s Prime Minister’s Secretary-General Poon Min Le Suriyad revealed that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has applied to the Constitutional Court for a 15-day extension to submit defense materials for the “recording case,” citing that it was not possible to complete all the preparation work for the defense materials within the previously stipulated 15-day period by the court. Poon Min stated that such applications for extension are rights enjoyed by the defendant under the law and are a normal procedure in legal proceedings, and whether to approve the extension needs to be decided by the Constitutional Court.
