After the attack on Iran, the U.S. issued a "global warning" to Americans.

Gate News bot news, according to Bloomberg, the U.S. State Department has issued a “global alert” warning American citizens that there may be travel disruptions and protests following the U.S. attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.

The U.S. State Department stated in a statement: “The conflict between Israel and Iran has led to disruptions in transportation in the Middle East and periodic closures of airspace. There is a possibility of protests against U.S. citizens and their overseas interests. The State Department advises all U.S. citizens worldwide to remain vigilant.”

These global alerts issued by the United States are relatively rare - the last time was in October 2023, shortly after Hamas attacked Israel from Gaza, triggering the latest conflict.

Last weekend, the U.S. attacked Iranian facilities in an attempt to sabotage Iran’s nuclear program. Iran vowed to take retaliatory action. Iran’s foreign minister stated that Iran reserves the right to respond in any way it sees fit, while the Iranian Revolutionary Guard hinted that U.S. military bases in the region could become targets.

Iran’s ambassador Amir Saeed Iravani said on Sunday at a UN emergency Security Council meeting that the “timing, nature, and scale” of Tehran’s response will be “determined by its armed forces.”

The U.S. State Department advises Americans to check its travel website for security alerts regarding any specific country.
