On May 7, Jin10 reported that according to the latest MLCC research report from TrendForce, due to the increasing risk aversion and wait-and-see attitude of companies and the end market, the supply-demand rhythm of MLCC will be disrupted in the first half of 2025, and the risk of a “lackluster peak season” in the second half of the year is also on the rise. According to a survey by TrendForce, OEMs and ODMs have successively moved up the orders for North American Chromebooks and some consumer laptops to the first quarter, resulting in unexpectedly bland stocking momentum for the traditional education laptop peak season that started in April. From the forecast order volume obtained by MLCC suppliers for Dell and HP education laptops in the second quarter, the average seasonal decline is 20% to 25%. Whether OEMs plan to move some North American orders from the third quarter to the second quarter, thus affecting the shipment strength in the second half of the year, will be a key observation point.
