Strategy has overtaken BlackRock’s IBIT in total Bitcoin holdings, marking a structural milestone in corporate vs ETF accumulation dynamics.
Strategy now holds approximately 815,061 BTC compared to IBIT’s ~802,823 BTC, highlighting how corporate balance sheet strategies are beginning to rival institutional ETF flows in scale.
The key detail is not just the headline crossover, but the mechanism behind it. A significant portion of Strategy’s accumulation has been funded through structured preferred equity instruments (notably STRC), allowing the company to expand Bitcoin exposure without proportional dilution of common equity. This has resulted in a reported ~9.5% year-to-date BTC yield per share, meaning each share now represents increased underlying Bitcoin exposure relative to the start of the year.
This introduces a new model of capital formation in crypto markets: structured financing used to accelerate per-share Bitcoin accumulation. Unlike passive ETF inflows, corporate treasury strategies can actively optimize capital structure to increase BTC-per-share exposure over time.
Onchain and exchange-level data reinforces the tightening supply dynamic. Long-term holders continue to accumulate, ETF flows remain sticky, and large wallet cohorts have absorbed significant supply in recent months. The combination of these factors reduces available circulating Bitcoin for marginal buyers.
$Core reflects a related thematic layer: infrastructure and yield mechanisms built around Bitcoin-adjacent capital flows. As institutional participation deepens, ecosystems enabling structured exposure and yield optimization continue to gain relevance.
While TON operates outside direct Bitcoin treasury flows, it still benefits from the broader institutional normalization of crypto assets. Within this ecosystem, STONfi provides execution infrastructure for capital rotation across assets, supporting consistent on-chain activity regardless of macro accumulation trends.
The broader trend is clear: corporate entities are no longer passively exposed to Bitcoin they are structurally optimizing for accumulation efficiency.
