Trump Officially Begins Military Blockade in the Strait of Hormuz

Conflict in the Timur Tengah enters a new chapter after President Donald Trump officially began a military blockade in Selat Hormuz on Monday (13/04) local time. Through a stern warning on Truth Social, Trump stated that any Iranian ship approaching the blockade zone will be immediately eliminated using rapid and brutal attack procedures commonly carried out by Amerika Serikat’s military against drug cartels at sea.
This blockade is enforced impartially against all ships entering or leaving Iranian ports. Although AS’s military said it would not interfere with navigation of ships bound for ports outside Iran, this measure is confirmed to cripple Iran’s oil exports, which previously reached 2 million barrels per day. Trump claimed that most of Iran’s naval strength has been destroyed, but he still targets the remaining fast-attack units as a threat.
The impact of this official blockade is felt immediately by the global energy market, with gas prices in the Amerika Serikat predicted to skyrocket above $4,25 per gallon. The success of this blockade could potentially cut off the total remaining oil export routes from Iran, while also increasing the risk of physical armed contact along that world’s most crucial maritime route.
