🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING: Navy SEAL Team 6 commandos extracted the ejected US F-15E pilot from Iran in a "massive operation" involving hundreds of special operations troops and military personnel, per New York Times.

They will make movies about this event.
An American F‑15E Strike Eagle went down inside Iran. Both crew members ejected, landing in hostile territory while Iranian military and paramilitary units searched for them.
A large U.S. rescue mission followed. Special operations forces, including elements of SEAL Team 6, were inserted by 160th SOAR helicopters deep inside Iran. A temporary landing zone was established so MC‑130J aircraft could support the extraction.
Conditions on the ground made the operation more difficult. Two MC‑130Js became stuck in soft terrain, and the area came under pressure from Iranian forces. U.S. personnel destroyed the disabled aircraft to prevent their capture, and additional aircraft were brought in to complete the extraction.
Before the mission began, U.S. intelligence reportedly conducted a deception effort inside Iran, spreading false information about the location and movement of one of the downed crew members. This created enough confusion to delay Iranian forces.
The Weapons Systems Officer evaded capture for more than a day while Iranian units searched the area. Despite public claims from Iranian media, he remained undiscovered until U.S. forces reached him.
He was successfully recovered and brought to safety. The operation involved significant risk, complex coordination, and multiple branches of the U.S. military and intelligence community working together under difficult conditions.
