Baisheng Group to incur a loss of 3.698 billion yuan in 2025
Beijing Business Daily (Reporter Liu Zhuolan) reported that on the evening of February 24, Baisheng Group released its full-year performance results for the year ending December 31, 2025. The report shows that in 2025, Baisheng’s total operating revenue reached 3.698 billion yuan, a decrease of 0.8% year-on-year; same-store sales declined by 16.6% year-on-year; total sales proceeds amounted to 7.746 billion yuan, down 10.9% year-on-year; and the company’s attributable loss was 186 million yuan. Baisheng Group stated that the decline in performance mainly stems from structural changes in consumer spending behavior.
During the reporting period, Baisheng Group completed upgrades and renovations of several key stores. Hefei Baisheng has been transformed into an ACGN (Anime, Comics, Games, Novels) themed youth cultural center; Harbin Baisheng introduced several flagship stores centered around popular IPs, such as POP MART’s first SKULLPANDA wood-patterned store and TEENIE WEENIE’s teddy bear themed concept store; Shanghai Huaihai Baisheng converted its former supermarket into a food court.
The report indicates that as of December 31, 2025, Baisheng Group and its joint ventures operated and managed 40 Baisheng stores across 23 cities in China and in Laos, including department stores, shopping malls, outlet centers, and two Baisheng UEC (Urban Entertainment Center) shopping plazas.
Baisheng Group stated that Chinese consumers’ expectations are rapidly evolving. Today’s shoppers are seeking more than just products; they value authenticity, a sense of worth, emotional connection, and immersive experiences. In response, Baisheng Group is actively reshaping its positioning, transforming from a traditional retail operator into an innovator of integrated lifestyle destinations.
