During the Spring Festival, the average daily retail sales of gold, silver, and jewelry products increased by 33.4% year-on-year
On February 26, according to CCTV News, the latest monitoring data from the China General Chamber of Commerce shows that during the Spring Festival holiday, retail sales of goods maintained rapid growth, with the average daily retail sales of goods at 100 key large retail enterprises nationwide increasing by 24.0% year-on-year, indicating continued release of consumer potential.
As the traditional peak season for gold consumption, during the Spring Festival, the average daily retail sales of gold, silver, and jewelry products increased by 33.4% year-on-year. Especially in recent years, the trend of “reverse New Year” has continued to heat up, with population movement showing a tendency to gather in large cities, driving a surge in sales of gold, silver, and jewelry products in first-tier cities.
Festive gatherings and other demand have surged, leading to a significant increase in related product sales, with the average daily retail sales of food products rising by 23.0% year-on-year. Driven by returning home for family visits and holiday renewal needs, the average daily retail sales of clothing products increased by 17.3% year-on-year, with sportswear showing outstanding market performance. Additionally, policies promoting trade-in for new devices have driven the average daily retail sales of communication equipment to maintain double-digit growth year-on-year.
