Iran: A drone lost contact while conducting legitimate reconnaissance activities in international waters

An Iranian source told Iran Tasnim News Agency on the 3rd that an Iranian drone lost contact while conducting a routine legal reconnaissance mission in international waters on that day, but successfully transmitted the images it captured. Regarding the U.S. military’s claim that it shot down an Iranian drone in the Arabian Sea on the same day, the source responded that an “Eye-129” type Iranian drone was conducting routine legal tasks such as reconnaissance, surveillance, and photography in international waters that day, and transmitted relevant images back to the command center before losing contact. He said the cause of the loss of contact is under investigation, and once confirmed, it will be announced. (Iran Tasnim News Agency)
