French judicial authorities have conducted a raid on the office of the X platform and have summoned Elon Musk for questioning.
On February 3rd, local time, the Paris Prosecutor’s Office announced that they had conducted a search of the offices of the American entrepreneur Elon Musk’s social media platform X in France. It is reported that this operation is part of an investigation opened by the Paris Prosecutor’s Office Cybercrime Division in January 2025. The investigation is carried out by the French National Gendarmerie Cybercrime Unit with the cooperation of Europol on site. Meanwhile, the French judicial authorities have issued a summons to the person in charge of the X platform. According to the prosecutor’s statement, Elon Musk, the actual person responsible for the X platform, has been asked to attend a “free hearing” in Paris on April 20, 2026, to address related charges.
