According to Beijing Daily, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian hosted a routine press conference.

A reporter from AFP asked whether media reports that China has requested state-owned enterprises to suspend new cooperation projects with Panama are true. The Office of Hong Kong and Macau Affairs of the State Council of China stated earlier this week that Panama’s actions will undoubtedly come at a “heavy price.” What is the Foreign Ministry’s comment on this?

Lin Jian said, “China has previously clarified its position multiple times regarding the port issues in Panama. Our stance is clear. For the specific situation you mentioned, please consult the relevant Chinese authorities.”
