Hungarian Parliament Vice President Mártonay stated on February 5 in Budapest that despite recent global political turmoil, the cooperation between Hungary and China based on mutual respect has remained stable and solid. On the same day, the Chinese Embassy in Hungary hosted a 2026 Spring Festival reception and a special performance of the Happy Spring Festival · Silk Road Songs. In her speech, Mártonay highly praised the development of bilateral relations between Hungary and China. She expressed that, as the chair of the Hungary-China Friendship Parliamentary Group in the Hungarian Parliament, she has witnessed remarkable achievements in the relationship between the two countries over the past 12 years. Mártonay also noted that in recent years, bilateral trade between Hungary and China has grown significantly, and the areas of cooperation have expanded from traditional industries to electric vehicles, clean energy, and other high-tech and green industries.
