Data sovereignty is indeed a hurdle that cannot be avoided, but the problem is that most projects haven't figured out how to solve it... Merely shouting about on-chain transparency isn't enough.

ngl this data sovereignty thing hits different when you actually think about the gas fees involved in verifying everything on-chain... back in my mining days we didn't have to worry about this mess, just raw hashrate and electricity bills lmao. but yeah okay fine, the throughput bottleneck on L2s makes this way more feasible than it used to be
