⭕ Reactions #الأوروبية continue to pour in after U.S. President Donald #ترامب announced on Saturday, January 17, the imposition of tariffs on 8 countries over Greenland, amid warnings of a new wave of trade wars.
⭕ Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre warned on Sunday of an impending trade war following Trump's threats, according to the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.
⭕ Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin also stated that the European Union will respond if the American threats are carried out, but clarified that it is premature to consider using the bloc's "coercion countermeasure," according to Irish Broadcasting and Radio Authority.
⭕ In a joint statement on Sunday, January 18, eight European countries expressed solidarity with Denmark and the people of Greenland, noting that "the threat of tariffs undermines transatlantic relations and signals a dangerous decline."
