That's right. Nowadays, many projects rely on impressive APR numbers to impress people, but what truly reassures me are those that are fully transparent. Being able to verify at any time, see collateralization ratios, cash flows, and so on, gives me confidence. The stablecoin yields on Base are indeed good, but what I value more is this auditable feeling, to avoid surprises or failures later on.

Auditing on-chain data sounds nice, but there are actually a few projects that just don't get the chain right... Luckily, we have Etherscan.

Exactly right, I just can't stand those who boast about high APRs. If I can't find on-chain data, then forget it.

Sounds good, but I bet most people won't bother to look at on-chain data for just five bucks. How many can truly verify on their own? Most are still making money through information asymmetry.

ngl Those loudly touted APR numbers, I don't really want to look at them. The key is being able to verify them yourself... Otherwise, it's just a numbers game.
