There is an interesting question worth discussing—what truly constitutes competitive advantage in the RWA (Real-World Asset) track?
Taking DUSK as an example, its ambitions go far beyond just being a blockchain onboarding tool. From the perspective of the European market, this project has been doing one thing from the very beginning: embedding compliance into the protocol layer. This is not a feature added later; instead, legal validity and asset traceability have been considered across the entire chain, from issuance and settlement to circulation.
How exactly does it do this? First, native compliant issuance is not simply about putting assets on the chain but ensuring they have legal effect. Second, it uses zero-knowledge proof technology to achieve so-called "selective disclosure"—meeting strict regulatory requirements like MiCA while protecting transaction privacy, which is crucial for scaling RWA. Third, this is not just talk; real partners like NPEX (an exchange holding a €300 million securities license) and Quantoz (a compliant euro stablecoin issuer) are involved. Fourth, after the mainnet upgrade to DuskEVM next year, the entry barrier for traditional developers and institutions will be significantly lowered.
This reflects a turning point in the RWA market. The debate used to be about "how to put assets on the chain," but now the key question is "how to design protocols that are inherently compliant." When regulation is integrated into the underlying design, the migration of traditional assets will move from experimental phases into true large-scale applications.
Ultimately, in this track, technical strength and licensing qualifications are equally important. Instead of chasing trends, it’s more worthwhile to focus on protocols with real practical foundations.
