#稳定币市场 I've been a bit confused lately because of the stablecoin situation...😅
I saw news saying that the US and China have disagreements on stablecoin policies. The US GENIUS Act prohibits stablecoins from paying interest directly, but China's digital RMB will be able to accrue interest starting next year. What does this mean? Simply put, does it mean I can earn interest by keeping money in a digital RMB wallet? And US stablecoins can't do that?
This makes me a bit worried... it seems that the US stablecoin competitiveness might really decline. Executives at Coinbase have been warning about this issue, and the CEO even called it a "red line." But I still don't quite understand—does the ability or inability of stablecoins to pay interest have any real impact on us regular users' trading? Will it affect which exchange I choose to use?
Can someone knowledgeable explain this to a newbie? Which stablecoins should I focus on now? These macro policy battles seem very complicated, but they also seem very important. 🤔
