No matter how you package and promote it, it all ultimately comes back to the same point — DeFi is the true core of cryptocurrency.

Those applications under the guise of Web3, with all kinds of innovative concepts, are essentially just different forms of autonomous finance. Remove the wrapping, and what’s exposed is the same thing.

Interestingly, the most competitive and imaginative application layer projects in the ecosystem are mostly from Ethereum and all run on Ethereum. This is not a coincidence, but a reflection of the current state of decentralized financial infrastructure development.

Ethereum has indeed taken the lead in this ecosystem, no dispute about that. DeFi has always been at the core of crypto; other projects are just hyping concepts. No matter how fancy the packaging, the underlying logic remains the same. Ethereum's dominant position over the past few years is truly unshakable. To be honest, today's Web3 is just DeFi with a different name. Projects launched by Ethereum are more competitive, and having a complete ecosystem definitely offers an advantage.
