ZenChain has recently made a big move, announcing the completion of an $8.5 million Series A funding round. This round was led by well-known investors Watermelon Capital, DWF Labs, and Genesis Capital, with an additional $1.5 million in angel investment commitments to be made before TGE.

Speaking of their plans, ZenChain mainly aims to build a secure cross-chain interoperability layer, with the goal of connecting Bitcoin's native capital with liquidity from other ecosystems. This idea is actually quite good — after all, the Bitcoin ecosystem has been very popular in recent years, but capital flow and application directions are still relatively limited. If they can connect BTC capital with DeFi, NFTs, and other applications through cross-chain methods, there is definitely room for imagination.

This funding will primarily be used to support their technological development and ecosystem building. Judging by the lineup of investors involved, all are capable institutions within the industry, indicating that this direction still has some recognition. How they will implement and execute in the future will depend on their technical solutions and market promotion speed.

Is it cross-chain again? The BTC ecosystem has indeed been a cash cow over the past two years... --- 8.5 million sounds like a lot, but whether it can really produce something depends on the technical stack. --- DWF and Genesis are investing together... this combination is a bit interesting, feels like a gamble. --- The pain point of limited Bitcoin liquidity definitely exists, the key is how to solve it without cutting the leeks. --- Let's see if they can deliver something before TGE; raising funds is easy, but implementation is the real challenge. --- Basically, they want to create a Bitcoin version of Cosmos or Polkadot. The idea is old, but the demand is real. --- Is the 1.5 million angel round only going to be received before TGE? This operation is a bit... --- Recently, cross-chain projects are piling up. Why did ZenChain stand out?

8.5 million funding? Well, the investor lineup is indeed impressive, but it all depends on whether they can truly break through the bottleneck between BTC and DeFi. --- I've heard the cross-chain interoperability logic countless times, but the key is whether the technology implementation can keep up with the funding progress. --- DWF and Genesis are both participating? This indicates that the industry still has a consensus on BTC liquidity, which is quite interesting. --- There's still 1.5 million waiting for TGE in the angel round? The funding structure is quite clear, it all depends on subsequent execution. --- Lack of liquidity in the BTC ecosystem is a fact, but with so many cross-chain solutions, why can ZenChain stand out? --- Again, cross-chain and interoperability—these projects seem to raise funds very quickly, but very few actually come to fruition. --- Having well-known institutions as investors is a good signal, but I'm more concerned about their technical security solutions. --- How was the valuation of 8.5 million determined? It seems like the current ecosystem funding is a bit inflated.

Cross-chain interoperability and BTC liquidity unlocking—this idea is indeed top-notch. Both DWF and Genesis have joined, but politely speaking, it's ecosystem development. It's hard to say what will ultimately come out of it. Waiting to see the TGE; these types of projects are most tested by technological implementation and ecosystem vitality.

8.5 million in funding, it looks like a lot, but how many of these can actually be implemented? Cross-chain is indeed a hot topic, but I'm worried it might just be another PPT project. Institutions like Watermelon and DWF are involved, which shows there’s some substance, but is BTC liquidity really that easy to solve? It seems these types of projects often get stuck in execution; as soon as the token goes live, they start to backtrack. Why is it again about the Bitcoin ecosystem? Is it a trend or a trap? There’s some potential, but could it just be another funding hype? Saying a technical solution is good without seeing it first—this pattern feels a bit familiar.

actually, let me break this down—8.5m seed round is solid but tbh the real test is execution. bitcoin liquidity unlocking via interop? heard it before, we'll see if zenchain doesn't just become another bridge that nobody uses lol
