How to Choose Stock Sectors Based on Seasons?
Today, the A-shares market is performing well, and Zen words also want to discuss with everyone what stocks to buy in different seasons. Let's get started!
Now, with the rise of AI, many simple jobs are easily replaced by AI, so we need to innovate and integrate more in our expertise. Zen words are now combining their mastered technical analysis with Bazi and astrology to attempt a new interpretation of trading.
First, our traditional Chinese culture classifies people, events, and things based on their characteristics into five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water, also known as the Five Elements. We can also apply this thinking to the financial markets. Different types of assets tend to rise or fall in different seasons due to the influence of heavenly and earthly energies—similar to the prosperity and decline of the Five Elements energies (旺相休囚死). This is also akin to the sector rotation we see in the stock market.
Next, let's look at the characteristics of each season and which sectors are favored.
🔹Spring: February, March, April (Months of Yin, Mao, Chen)
Five Elements: Wood🌳, mainly growth (rising).
Spring sectors: Agriculture, Forestry, Education, Pharmaceuticals, Apparel, Paper.
🔹Summer: May, June, July (Months of Si, Wu, Wei)
Five Elements: Fire🔥, mainly eruption (rising, but heavenly energy begins to decline after the summer solstice)
Summer sectors: Energy, Electricity, Technology, Military Industry, Semiconductors, Catering.
🔹Autumn: August, September, October (Months of Shen, You, Xu)
Five Elements: Metal⚱️, mainly convergence (declining).
Autumn sectors: Finance, Banking, Automotive, Machinery Manufacturing, Gold and Jewelry.
🔹Winter: November, December, January (Months of Hai, Zi, Chou)
Five Elements: Water🌊, mainly movement, sinking (declining, heavenly energy turns from yin to yang after the winter solstice)
Winter sectors: Logistics, Transportation, Water Utilities, Seafood, Tourism, Trade.
🔹Of course, the Five Elements also include Earth, which is distributed at the end of each season: Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei months (January, April, July, October).
Earth symbolizes the land and mainly bears.
Corresponding sectors: Real Estate, Infrastructure, Building Materials, Ceramics, Minerals.
Of course, we also need to consider the combination of each year's Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches with the birth date and time of the stocks themselves. Everything depends on conditions, right? Even the best seeds find it hard to sprout and bloom in cold winter land.
At the beginning of the new year, the Shanghai Composite Index has started a new wave of rapid rise. Zen words believe that this wave remains true to its nature—coming quickly and going quickly, with no such thing as a slow bull market!
In the next issue, we will discuss how to allocate assets in the face of soaring markets and seize this rare opportunity!
