Lighter partners with Chainlink: on-chain RWA pricing adds another security anchor point
[Bitpush] SmartCon 2025 conference has released major news. Lighter's CEO vnovakovski officially announced that Chainlink will be its official Oracle Machine provider. What does this mean? Simply put, Lighter users will be able to obtain pricing information from Chainlink, an industry-recognized trusted data source, when conducting RWA (real-world asset) transactions on-chain.
It may sound a bit technical, but the core logic is very clear: the Oracle Machine is like the “data gatekeeper” of financial markets, feeding real-world prices into smart contracts. What is it benchmarked against? Imagine that without reliable price data, RWA transactions can easily be manipulated. The addition of Chainlink is equivalent to installing a security protection for the entire ecosystem.
The RWA sector has remained hot over the past two years, and Lighter's move in this regard shows quite a bit of foresight.
