Chainlink's Sergey Nazarov recently shared his take on where tokenization meets traditional finance. His main point? Efficiency will be the game-changer.
"The efficiency I think, will be a huge attracting force," he noted. But here's the catch - you can't prove that efficiency exists in a vacuum. "You won't be able to prove the efficiency unless there's enough assets on-chain," Nazarov explained.
It's a chicken-and-egg situation. TradFi needs to see the benefits before fully committing, yet those benefits only become obvious when enough value migrates on-chain. The infrastructure is ready. The question now is whether traditional finance will take the leap before competitors do.

Chicken or egg, egg or chicken—it sounds easy, but those TradFi folks are just waiting to see the data.

The chicken lays the egg, and the egg produces the chicken—this is the dilemma... Those people in traditional finance are just waiting to see someone else take the plunge first.

nah the classic catch-22... tradfi execs won't move till they see gains, but gains need the volume first. we've heard this song before lol. infrastructure's been "ready" for years, the real bottleneck is always gonna be institutional risk appetite and regulatory uncertainty. efficiency means nothing if the leverage ratio blows up in a liquidity crisis.

The chicken or the egg dilemma—who's going to solve this deadlock... Will those people in traditional finance really make a move?

The chicken lays the egg, and the egg produces the chicken—this is the current stalemate... Let's talk about efficiency once large assets are on-chain.
