Think from the perspective of the market maker:
After the price of the coin skyrocketed, most people who didn't get in are waiting for a pullback to enter. If you are the market maker, would you give them the chance to buy at a low? Of course, you would continue to push the price up, making those who missed out even more anxious. (missing out + fomo)
When will the distribution take place? It's usually after several consecutive surges, when everyone can’t resist the temptation and ultimately rushes in to take the bait (everyone around is already in the vehicle). At this point, the distribution of chips goes the smoothest. (Referred to as the vehicle being too heavy.)
