Trump: If the court makes an unfavorable ruling on tariffs, the United States will be held hostage by anti-American tariffs.

On June 2, Trump once again made remarks related to tariffs, stating, “If the court makes an unfavorable ruling on the tariff issue in some way (which is not expected), then other countries will use this to leverage anti-American tariffs against us, and use these tariffs to strike at us, which means the destruction of the American economy!” Previously, it was reported that the U.S. International Trade Court blocked Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs from taking effect, ruling that the imposition of comprehensive tariffs exceeded authority. The Trump administration has requested the appeals court to suspend this ruling, stating that “the International Trade Court’s ruling is politicized, and hopes the Supreme Court can overturn it.”
