Jin10 reported on May 3 that the Pakistan Army’s media wing announced on the 3rd that the military successfully test-fired an “Abdali” surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile on the same day. The statement said that this launch aimed to ensure the readiness of Pakistan’s strategic forces and validate key technical parameters of the missile, such as navigation accuracy and mobility. The “Abdali” missile has a range of 450 kilometers and can be used for precise strikes on targets, helping to enhance the strategic deterrence capability of the Pakistan Army. The statement noted that the President, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan congratulated the successful missile test launch, expressing confidence in the strategic capabilities of Pakistani forces, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining the minimum necessary deterrence for national defense.
