The Solana Policy Research Institute has proposed a new framework aimed at placing equity securities such as stocks on the Blockchain to innovate financial markets. The project is named Project Open and plans to place stocks on a Blockchain like Solana. According to the agency, this can enhance the transparency of the U.S. financial markets, achieve instant Settlement, and drop costs.
