  • Reputation: Every contributor has a transparent track record, which governs access to different tiers of tasks.
  • Incentives: Top-performing contributors receive $SAPIEN and USDC rewards, with the potential for additional multipliers.

The Role and Distribution of $SAPIEN Tokens

The $SAPIEN token sits at the core of the protocol and has a capped total supply of 1 billion, with no inflation mechanism. Its key roles include:

  • Serving as staking collateral to determine contributors’ task access and reward multipliers
  • Acting as an incentive token, used alongside stablecoin rewards to foster both ongoing earnings and long-term value
  • Facilitating governance, as a DAO will ultimately oversee protocol management

In terms of token distribution, approximately 47% is allocated to protocol participants (contributors, builders, early supporters), while 53% is reserved for contribution incentives, the community treasury, and liquidity support.

Sapien enables data production for AI across multiple sectors, including:
