IOST has recently made a big move — their hardware identity verification system is finally live.

The newly launched IOST Signet App is now available for download on both Android and iOS platforms. Essentially, it’s a hardware-based decentralized identity verification solution, marking a significant step forward in DID technology.

Notably, their Genesis Sale sold out early, and the hardware devices have already been mass-produced. With the app now launched, the main focus is on coordinating global logistics to deliver devices to early supporters.

Using both hardware and software for identity verification is a relatively fresh approach in the Web3 space. Most traditional DID solutions remain purely software-based, but IOST’s integration of hardware modules could potentially enhance security and reliability.
