ChainCatcher news, Alumni Ventures venture capitalist Bryan Liu, Turnkey solutions engineering lead Michael Lewellen, Crossmint BD head Nick Wang, and Camp Network CTO Rahul Doraiswami attended the Silicon Valley 101 x RootData annual summit held in Silicon Valley on October 5th, where they engaged in an in-depth discussion on hot topics such as the integration of AI and Crypto and current challenges during a roundtable titled "Crypto: Next Big Thing". Alumni Ventures venture capitalist Bryan Liu stated that AI and blockchain are perfectly complementary: AI is efficient but uncontrollable, while blockchain is trustworthy but slow. The combination of the two allows AI to accelerate blockchain, and blockchain can serve as a trust layer for AI. He is particularly optimistic about blockchain as the payment and trust infrastructure for the future AI agent economy. Nick Wang, the head of Crossmint BD, focuses on making cryptocurrency technology a payment channel for AI agents. His project is building the relevant infrastructure, while the current main challenge is the insufficient acceptance of stablecoins by merchants, as well as the need to establish new security and accountability standards for agent transactions. Michael Lewellen, the head of the Turnkey solution engineering, mentioned the security issues brought by the integration of AI and Crypto, emphasizing the need to set strict permission restrictions for AI agents operating funds. At the same time, he envisions that the combination of "identity and payment" on the blockchain will give rise to disruptive use cases such as automatic real-time tax reporting, driving government adoption. Camp Network CTO Rahul Doraiswami is committed to leveraging the immutability of blockchain to provide IP provenance and trust computing in the AI field. He believes that enhancing user experience and adopting more advanced cryptographic technologies are key to driving development.
