Jasmy Chain Testnet Officially Goes Live

Jasmy Lab Inc., officially launched the testnet for Jasmy Chain, its Ethereum Layer2 network. The new release follows the rebranding and technical overhaul of the earlier “JANCTION Layer2.”

Unlike the initial plan that relied on the OP Stack (Optimistic Rollup), Jasmy Chain now uses Arb Orbit, a framework based on Arbitrum Nitro. The testnet also introduces a key change: the JASMY token will be used as the native gas token, integrating the company’s ecosystem directly into its transaction model.

With this upgrade, Jasmy Chain establishes itself as an EVM-compatible Layer2 blockchain, designed to deliver low-cost, high-speed execution for applications in AI, DeFi, NFTs, and media processing.

Why Arb Orbit Matters

Arb Orbit, developed within the Arbitrum ecosystem, provides developers with more control over how they design Layer2 chains.

• Rollup or AnyTrust mode: Developers can choose between higher security or lower cost depending on their application’s needs.

Jasmy Chain originates from the JANCTION Layer2 project, which earlier operated with the OP Stack. JANCTION was backed by seed funding from major Web3 investors, including Cogitent Ventures, DWF Labs, MH Ventures, YBB, Waterdrip Capital, and Web3Labs.

The funds were used to develop JANCTION Layer2 and the JANCTION GPU Pool, while also supporting marketing and global outreach.

The GPU Pool remains part of Jasmy’s broader strategy, allowing decentralized allocation of high-performance GPUs for AI and other workloads.
