Samsung Electronics may face a large-scale strike, potentially impacting the global semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain.

According to an 18th report from South Korea, the voting results show that 93.1% of union members approved a strike, based on a vote participated in by more than 66k Samsung Electronics union members. Unless there are major changes, Samsung Electronics union members will carry out a full strike from May 21 to June 7. As a major global memory chip manufacturer, once a strike occurs, it could further intensify the global semiconductor supply tightness situation driven by the ongoing surge in global artificial intelligence data center construction. Its impact may ripple across multiple industries such as automobiles, computers, and smart phones. (CCTV News)
