Dubai: The oil tanker accident did not result in oil spills or casualties
Dubai media office said on X that Dubai authorities confirmed that the emergency response team has successfully contained the incident involving a Kuwaiti oil tanker that occurred in Dubai waters. There was no oil spill, and no reports of casualties. Earlier, Kuwait Petroleum in a statement said that the Kuwaiti crude oil transport ship Al-Salmi was attacked by Iran at an anchorage in a port in Dubai. Kuwait Petroleum added that no crew members were injured, but that this attack could lead to “an oil spill in the surrounding sea areas.”
