CFTC Chair: Court Confirms CFTC's Exclusive Regulatory Authority Over Designated Contract Markets

Mike Selig, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), stated on the X platform that the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals ruled today to reaffirm Congress’s legislative intent, confirming that the CFTC has exclusive regulatory authority over designated contract markets (DCMs) and rejecting the attempts by New Jersey’s gaming regulatory agency to challenge this authority.
