The International Atomic Energy Agency says Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was not damaged in the strike.

The International Atomic Energy Agency said on the 6th that Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was not damaged in a recent military strike. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi warned that attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities and the surrounding areas must stop. In a social media post, the IAEA said that based on an independent analysis of the latest satellite images and a detailed understanding of the site, it has confirmed the impact caused by the recent military strike near Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. One of the strikes was only 75 meters from the nuclear power plant. After analyzing images from April 5, the IAEA found that the Bushehr nuclear power plant itself was not damaged. Grossi warned that the Bushehr nuclear power plant is an operating nuclear power plant with a large amount of nuclear fuel, and that ongoing military activity in its vicinity could trigger a serious radiation accident, posing harm to the people and the environment of Iran and other regions. Grossi said that regardless of what the original target of the planned attack might have been, such attacks pose a real threat to nuclear safety and must be stopped. (Xinhua News Agency)
