National Artificial Intelligence Application Shanghai Pilot Testing Base: Announces Five Major Core Innovation Achievements

On March 28, the National AI Application Shanghai Pilot Base held a milestone results summary and release conference at Zhongshan Hospital, affiliated with Fudan University, announcing five major core innovative achievements and nine medical intelligent applications, strongly advancing high-quality development of my country’s “Artificial Intelligence + Healthcare.” Among them, the five phased core achievements are: 1) Based on building an integrated new-type computing power service platform covering computing, storage, networks, and development toolchains, a computing power resource foundation was formed that connects “model development—verification and iteration—inference services—security governance,” breaking through technical adaptation bottlenecks and enabling “China’s models with China’s chips,” with performance on par with internationally leading computing power levels; 2) Introduced six healthcare vertical foundation models, building a full-stack, independently developed and controllable multi-modal large-model matrix, covering diverse clinical scenarios such as imaging, pathology, traditional Chinese medicine, and scientific research, with multiple medical large models reaching internationally leading levels; 3) Built a national demonstrative healthcare AI data infrastructure, bringing together massive volumes of high-quality “three-medicine” data, laying a solid foundation for model training and iteration; 4) Created a globally leading Chinese medical large-model testing platform, MedBench 4.0, and established an authoritative, unified industry evaluation standard; 5) Selected and promoted world-class medical intelligent applications across multiple disciplines and multiple scenarios, driving cutting-edge technologies from the laboratory to quickly land in frontline clinical practice.
