Iran says its domestic oil and petrochemical facilities were “attacked by enemy forces.”

According to Iranian media on the 6th, oil and petrochemical plants in Assaluyeh and South Pars in Bushehr Province were “attacked by enemy forces,” with reports of several explosions.

Tasnim News Agency, citing officials in Bushehr Province, reported that the United States and Israel carried out an attack on this area again, and that petrochemical production facilities in Assaluyeh were hit and damaged. Investigations are under way regarding the extent of the damage, and there are no reports of casualties at this time.

The report said that two companies supplying electricity, water, and oxygen to the Assaluyeh petrochemical plant were targeted.

Israeli Defense Minister Katz said in a statement on the 6th that Israeli forces struck Iran’s “largest petrochemical facility” in southern Iran’s Assaluyeh. The facility is a major production base for Iran’s petrochemical products and accounts for about half of the country’s total petrochemical product output. He said that last week Israeli forces attacked another “major petrochemical facility” in Iran, and that the two facilities “together account for about 85% of Iran’s exports of petrochemical products.”

Katz said the petrochemical industry is a core engine for financing Iran’s military activities. Israel’s attack dealt a serious economic blow to Iran, and the losses it incurred are as high as several tens of billions of dollars. Israeli forces have been instructed to continue carrying out full-scale strikes against Iran’s national infrastructure.

Also, according to CCTV News, local time on the 6th, Iran’s southern city of Marvdasht’s petrochemical integrated facility was attacked by the U.S. and Israel, and the attack sparked a fire. It is reported that the fire has now been brought under control, with no major losses.

Iran launches “True Promise-4” Wave 98 operation, targeting U.S. “Tripoli” amphibious assault ship

Local time on the 6th, according to a statement from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, during the “True Promise-4” Wave 98 operation jointly launched by the IRGC Navy and the aerospace forces, Iranian naval units used cruise missiles to strike the Israeli container ship SDN7. The missile hit the ship, triggering large-scale fires.

During this round of operations, the IRGC used ballistic missiles to strike multiple strategic targets in Israel’s northern and southern areas and Haifa, and also targeted petrochemical enterprises in the southern city of Beersheba and military industries in the central city of Petah Tikva.

The statement noted that the U.S. amphibious assault ship “Tripoli” (LHA-7), carrying more than 5,000 American sailors and Marines, was targeted by Iran and was forced to retreat deep into the southern Indian Ocean. Several aircraft at Kuwait’s Ali Al Salem Air Base were also precisely targeted in this round by Iranian drones and missiles.
