The Ministry of Natural Resources clarifies 10 key points for standardization work this year
Securities Times Reporter Zhang Da
Recently, the Ministry of Natural Resources released the “Key Points for Natural Resources Standardization Work in 2026” (hereinafter referred to as the “Key Points”), which deploys 10 key tasks in four aspects according to the principle of “optimizing the system, streamlining the stock, and strictly controlling the increment,” promoting the transformation of natural resources standards from quantity-oriented to quality and efficiency-oriented.
Among them, in terms of deepening standardization reform and improving work mechanisms, the “Key Points” specify three key tasks: first, to solidly implement the requirements of national standardization reform, optimize the procedures for the formulation and revision of standards, and adjust the management and operation mechanism of the national standard committee; second, to revise and issue the “Natural Resources Standardization Management Measures,” strengthen the integration of departments, and improve the mechanism of “joint development and joint release”; third, to strengthen the coordinated development of scientific and technological innovation and standardization, promote the linkage between major national scientific and technological projects and standardization, and facilitate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into high-quality standards.
In terms of strengthening overall planning layout, the “Key Points” propose: first, to issue the “Natural Resources Standard System (2026),” improve the framework of the natural resources standard system, strengthen the coordinated layout of business support, technical methods, and basic general standards, and construct a new type of standard system; second, to strengthen the construction of special standard systems for “one map,” marine carbon sinks, agricultural land, etc., and accelerate the formulation of relevant standards for data, platforms, scenarios, and more.
