Preview: The 2026 World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit will be held in Hong Kong from April 13 to 14.
The World Internet Conference held a press conference in Beijing on the morning of March 17 to announce that the 2026 World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit will be held in Hong Kong on April 13 to 14. This Asia-Pacific Summit is hosted by the World Internet Conference, organized by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and co-organized by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR and others, with support from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Under the theme “Empowering with Digital Intelligence, Driving Innovation and Development—Working Together to Build a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace,” the summit will hold an opening ceremony, a main forum along with the World Internet Conference Outstanding Contributions Recognition Gala, and will organize sub-forums around issues such as “innovations and applications of intelligent agents,” “digital finance,” “security governance of artificial intelligence,” “benefiting people through inclusive digital solutions,” “digital health,” and “the digitization and intelligent dissemination of cultural classics.” It aims to open up new opportunities and markets for digital cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region and to continue building a practical platform for exchanges and collaboration. During the summit, activities including a ministerial meeting, government-enterprise exchanges, an advanced training program on building capabilities in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, and a themed salon such as “AI Security Co-Governance: Building a Digital Security Barrier in the Intelligent Age” will also be held. In addition, more than ten research results will be released around topics such as “artificial intelligence governance.”
