The American video streaming giant Netflix has announced that it has raised the prices of all its plans in the United States.

According to its official website, the price of Netflix’s ad-supported plan will increase from the previous $7.99 per month to $8.99 per month, while the standard plan price will rise by $2 to $19.99 per month.

Netflix’s paid membership plan is now priced at $26.99 per month, up from the previous $24.99. Additionally, the fee for adding extra members has also increased, with the ad-supported plan’s extra member cost at $7.99 and the no-ad plan’s extra member cost at $9.99.

Netflix has over 325 million users, and the company canceled its cheapest no-ad plan—the basic plan—in 2023, leaving users to choose from the higher-priced paid membership plan and standard plan, as well as the ad-supported standard plan.

According to TD Cowen analysts, after the new prices are implemented, the company’s average revenue per user in the United States and Canada is expected to grow by 6% year-on-year by 2026.

The company’s last price increase was at the beginning of 2025.
