Chevron Completes Third Gathering Pipeline for Israel's Leviathan

The Chevron-led Leviathan consortium has finished building a third pipeline and upgrading platforms for its natural gas field offshore Israel, increasing production capacity to 494.41 billion cubic feet annually. This completion comes amidst a forced suspension of Leviathan’s production due to renewed conflict and follows prior delays caused by earlier unrest. The consortium plans further expansion, with a $2.36-billion investment decided for Stage 1 of Phase 1B, aiming to boost capacity to 21 billion cubic meters per annum by late 2029.
