The European Parliament approves the US-Europe trade agreement.

People’s Financial News, March 26 - On March 26 local time, the European Parliament held a vote on the trade agreement between the EU and the United States, which was ultimately approved. The European Parliament’s International Trade Committee had previously voted on March 19 in favor with 29 votes to resume the legislative approval process for the EU-U.S. trade agreement. The EU and the U.S. reached a trade agreement in July 2025. The EU is required to eliminate tariffs on industrial products from the U.S. and provide preferential market access for U.S. seafood and agricultural products in exchange for the U.S. imposing a 15% tariff on most EU goods exported to the U.S. (CCTV News)
