Iranian Parliament Speaker Kalibaf expressed strong dissatisfaction with the US military presence in the region, accusing it of being unable to protect its troops and questioning America's ability to conduct military operations in Iran. Odaily Planet Daily, Iran’s parliamentary speaker Kalibaf made a tough statement today (March 27) regarding the potential threat of a ground invasion, saying: “The United States can’t even protect its own soldiers in its bases in this region, so they have to hide them in hotels and parks. Under these circumstances, how could they possibly protect those soldiers on our territory?” Earlier, Iran’s foreign minister, Araghchi, posted on social media accusing the U.S. military of treating civilians from Gulf Cooperation Council member states as “human shields.” He called on hotels in these countries to refuse American military bookings.
