According to China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd., on February 14th, the newly built Jinhua to Jiande high-speed railway Lanxi East to Jiande section (hereinafter referred to as Jinjian High-Speed Railway LanJian section) officially opened for operation, becoming the first high-speed rail line to operate in the Yangtze River Delta during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. It adds a new transportation artery to central Zhejiang. Since the Jinjian High-Speed Railway LanJian section began full construction in May 2022, the railway authorities organized China Railway 24th Bureau, China Railway Fifth Institute, China Railway Construction, and other participating units to incorporate eco-priority, conservation, intensive use, green, and low-carbon development concepts throughout the entire planning, design, and construction process. The route was selected to avoid environmentally sensitive areas such as Fuchun River National Forest Park, and green crossings were achieved through “bridge instead of road” and “tunnel instead of road” methods, with a bridge-tunnel ratio of 88.39%. The construction team intensified scientific research efforts, efficiently advanced project construction, and built 37 bridges including the Xin’anjiang Grand Bridge, and 22 tunnels including the Chaye Ping Tunnel, ensuring the project was completed on schedule.
